Common questions

Why do prices not update automatically?

FolioCrest does not use a market-data provider. Enter or update a price in the asset detail screen, then record a snapshot when you want to preserve the portfolio value in the history chart.

Where is my information stored?

Your records are stored in the app's local container by default. Optional iCloud sync uses the private CloudKit database of your Apple ID so your own Apple devices can share the same copy. FolioCrest has no developer account system or developer-operated server.

How do I make a copy of my records?

Use the JSON, CSV, or PDF export controls in the app. Apple's system interface lets you choose where to save the exported copy. A complete JSON backup can also be selected later to restore records after confirmation.

Does App Lock send my Face ID data to the developer?

No. Face ID, Touch ID, and device-passcode authentication are handled by Apple on the device. The app receives only whether authentication succeeded.

Are record reminders sent by a server?

No. Optional reminders are scheduled locally by iOS and do not include portfolio amounts or holdings.

How do I delete my data?

Open Settings in the app and select “Clear all local data.” Uninstalling the app also removes its local container. If iCloud sync is enabled, clearing data also synchronizes the empty state; disabling sync alone does not delete the existing private iCloud copy.

Does the app provide investment advice?

No. It only calculates values from information you enter. Verify data independently and consult a licensed professional when appropriate.
